"WHO Does She Think She Is?!"

Six Months of Kindness For Success - Pushing Comfort Zones & Embracing Visibility

"WHO Does She Think She Is?!" Does this phrase sound familiar?

This thought bubbled up (thanks Gertrude) as I reached the six-month mark of stepping into Kindness For Success full-time today (YEEEEY!)

To mark the occasion, I decided to do something out of my comfort zone—share a polished, professional photo.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I frequently post so surely no big deal?!

Hmm it IS a big deal! Give me everyday moments, fun, silly spontaneous photos and I’m ok. But a glammed-up, professional photo – this felt really different!

Whilst it feels 'egotistical' to say (even though I know it isn't!) I have to say, I’m thrilled with how this shot turned out. Not because it’s me in the picture (!) but because of how the wonderfully talented Valentina Rebeschini has captured the colours, the background, and my smile, all while making me feel like I was living my best life, sitting casually on the arm of that sofa (sooooo relaxed 😆).

So, first and foremost, a massive thank you to Valentina for her incredible work (all links below).

Beyond showcasing Valentina's talent, I was also motivated to step out of comfort zone and share this after hearing an inspiring talk recently by Vicki Knights, who discussed what it means to be a ‘Visibility Strategist.’

There were a number of takeaways though what really resonated with me was the importance of :

“Gently expanding your comfort zone.”

So here I am! This is me, styled, posed, and attempting to give thew aura of living in a minimalist New York City loft apartment. Ha! How I WISH my house could resemble just a smidge of that vibe!

Vicki also reminded us of the "Who does she think she is?" mentality that many women, myself included, have encountered throughout our lives. As girls, we are often conditioned to stay small, to avoid showing off or taking up too much space.

Phrases such as:

“No one likes a show-off.” or

“Don’t get too big for your boots.”

Anyone?

But today, as I write this blog, I’m throwing these aside - I’m celebrating Kindness For Success, stepping fully into my big boots (as you can see from the pic - physically too!) and leaving those limiting beliefs behind.

This milestone represents not just six months of growth for my business, but also six months of massive personal growth and I for one am PROUD of me 😊.

I am so grateful to Tracey Butcher and Jo Ferrone for creating events that have connected me with so many inspiring women, including those who have helped shape this journey. Please see their links below.

If you happen to be reading this in my 6 month ‘month’ (October 2024) then I’m offering a special gift. For anyone who signs up for one of my 1:1 coaching packages during the month of October, you’ll receive a fourth session on me. It’s my way of giving back and sharing the joy of this journey with others.

Happy Half-Birthday, Kindness For Success! Here’s to many more milestones and continued growth, both in business and beyond.
